You know how some people are so stylish in every situation, you feel frustrated for even trying? Well, the females of the Obama family always manage to be just that: epically fashionable. For the 32nd annual Christmas In Washington concert, which benefits the Children’s National Health System, the family attended the Anna Kendrick-hosted event at the National Building Museum on Sunday looking ultra-dapper, as per usual.
Michelle Obama wore a gorgeous J. Mendel Resort 2013 dress, a repeat look from last year’s London 2013 Olympic Games. Considering the Games took place in July, it’s pretty awesome that the First Lady decided to repeat it in a totally different season for a very different type of event–and pulled it off magnificently, especially with those metallic Manolo Blahnik heels.
Daughters Malia and Sasha also looked lovely, wearing two different but equally cute styles for the evening. Malia went with a long-sleeve knitted top and chiffon (I think, though my eyes are awful) skirt with black tights and shoes. Sasha had on a pretty patterned floral dress with bow tights and awesome metallic lace up heels. Metallic looks stupid on almost everybody; here, on both Sasha and Michelle, it somehow manages to look great.
To be fair, they have professional stylists whose full-time job is just to ensure the Obamas look hella good, but still–there are so many famous people with similar dream teams who somehow manage to wear awful styles a pretty big percentage of the time.
Oh, and they hung out with some “elves.” It was adorable. It was the best thing.
LOOK AT THOSE LITTLE FACES OH MY GOODNESS.
