Sofia Vergara Knows She’s Hot In This Thong Bikini [NSFW]

Nothing says happy hump day (or operation: commence New Year’s gym resolution) like pictures of Sofia Vergara in a (thong) bikini. Seriously. Bombshell. Hashtag: Woman Crush Wednesday?

Vergara, or Gloriaaaa Pritchett to fellow Modern Family addicts, admittedly flaunts it because she knows she looks good. Phew, about time she broke the awkward tension and conceded she’s hot.

“‘Damn I still look good! I’m going to post this one.’ At this age, you don’t take for granted a good picture,” the 41-year old mom recently told Ryan Seacrest On Air.

A statement, to which I imagine much of the Mean Girls-esque internet clique will respond with vanity labels and various forms of cruel backlash considering she agrees and she thinks she’s really pretty. But, hey, If I looked like Vergara I would be unapologetically posting my rocking bikini bod to all forms of social media, too, and attracting 43.6k likers on Instagram. Meanwhile, I’m over here filtering pictures of my cat, grateful when a post hits 11 and the names change into numbers, and Vergara is all confident, beautiful and looking like this:

Sigh. Vergara is super stunning and super sexy (and super stalkable). Plus, she loves cake, too, in case you needed proof she’s not a robot, or something.

Kris Jenner, mother and grandmother, also recently exposed her bikini clad figure and is now suffering the repercussions from ageist haters. Perhaps 2014 is will be trending as the year of the MILF’s and GILF’s–has that been established yet? Since I’m currently suffering from the wrath of the frigid bitch aka the Polar vortex and all of its glorious wind burn and grueling temperatures, I say, let me live vicariously through the envy-inducing bathing suit selfies.

God her body is ridic. I need to start working out more so I can have an ass like that. And even then, I still probably won’t. She must have the best genes ever.

    • Lindsey Conklin

seriously?! boobs, butt, hips, her body is amazing.

    • elle

Seriously, so unfair. Ok not really unfair but her body is basically perfection that us mere mortals can only dream of having.

  • DreaTheGreat

Let’s totally rant about how bad the glorification of certain bodies is for months at a time, and then dedicate an entire page on nothing but the glorification of a celebrity’s looks. Good going Gloss.

This seems totally different to me. This is about Sofia Vergara feeling confident about herself (and musing on the possible Internet outrage to come), not saying “this body is what you should strive for.or you’re fat and forever alone DUR DUR DUR.” I don’t see anything wrong with a post remarking on her confidence.

“f I looked like Vergara I would be unapologetically posting my rocking bikini bod to all forms of social media”

because of course you first need to look THIS HOT in order to earn an apologetic “bikini bod” post on social media. Should I also add that the term Bikini Body means a body good enough to be in a bikini aka the model you must fit into in order to earn it?
Sorry, but someone who built their career on looks posting photos of themselves is not some overtly portrayal of confidence.

And yes, she did without any doubt base her entire career on her looks. We were born in the same city and lived in the same country for a decade, she is the equivalent of a staple in Colombian households. She is first and foremost a model and endorser, since when did models posting photos of themselves become a confident act? Since when did emphazising that age means you no longer look good become something to talk about?
“at this age, you don’t take for granted a good picture”
You heard that right ladies over 40, you better rave about every good shot you get because good photos are few and far between for you.
I’m sorry, but you just can’t try to spin this into some body positive view succesfully.
