Critically acclaimed actresses are busy, busy people. Lupita Nyong’o went to four separate events yesterday. I’m just sitting in my house writing about fancy events celebrities go to, and four in a day is exhausting for me. I can’t even imagine having to change shoes that many times, but Nyong’o handled it with grace and aplomb and four spectacular dresses.
She started out at InStyle’s cocktail party for 12 Years A Slave in a stunning banana yellow Victoria Beckham dress with a plunging neckline.
From there she changed into printed Peter Pilotto shorts and top for the Independent FIlmmaker Grant and Spirit Awards Brunch in West Hollywood. The look was easy and casual while being fashion-forward and perfect for the event. If Lupita Nyong’o taught a class on how to wear prints, I would take it.
At this point I can only assume Nyong’o was changing in the car, because she appeared next at the DuJour Magazine Cover Party, where she was the new cover model and guest of honor.
Her amazing Mary Katrantzou dress is our favorite of the day, especially paired with the Sophia Webster clutch.
At the end of the circuit, she hit the 39th Annual Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards wearing a sexy white Altuzarra dress with some gigantic jewelry from Dior.
She looks amazing in this, and her pink lipstick looks gorgeous on her. And she gets bonus points because in this whirlwind of dress-changing, she even got a new manicure. Most actresses are lucky to get a single look as good as one of these ever, and Nyong’o got four in one day. We’re officially impressed, and we cannot wait to see what she wears tonight.
