Demi Lovato Took A Selfie With A Dead Body, As One Does

Today, Demi Lovato posted a bizarre selfie from her Twitter account. It features the X Factor judge posing with a…something. Just something. I think it is a fake corpse or a movie prop but celebrities are weird and have access to weird things. Here, you figure it out:

The photo was posted along with the caption, “Shout out to my girl lookin #DropDeadGorgeous!! #TWINZIES.” I am suddenly concerned as to whether Demi Lovato understands the words “gorgeous” or “twins”–though she is obviously kidding, or something–and I am also concerned as to why she is hanging out with whomever that is up there. I’ll call her Velma. She looks like a Velma, I think (no offense to any Velmas, I am sure you are very lovely and not undead).

In all honesty, I have no idea if this is a mannequin, a fake corpse or an IRL mummy (it looks like the latter, from what Disney Original Movies and Brandon Fraser have shown me), but regardless, it is really creepy. I kind of like it. I like Demi Lovato just a little bit more because it and I have no idea what that says about me. (Note to Liz: Please do a “What Your Favorite Potential Corpse Selfie Says About You.”) I mean, I have gone back and forth on liking her before, but this–this is a fascinating turn and makes me believe she may be a good person to hang out with on Halloween. My best friend and I are very, very into ghosts, so I guess it would be good to have a zombie-loving third wheel, right?

I suppose this is the next logical step after funeral selfies. We should have all seen this coming. Hmph, Velma seems like a negative influence, so perhaps we should just abide by this girl’s wishes and replace Velma The Bad Egg with her. She seems nice.

First she dyes her hair blue, then she takes a selfie with a corpse (probably not a mummy, doesn’t look dry enough), next it’s going to be a picture of seemingly nothing but you and I will both know it’s a ghost. And that is how Demi Lovato becomes the zombie-loving third wheel.

That’s a fake looking corpse. Great makeup job, but not enough bloat to actually be a corpse and not dry enough to be a mummy.
