Earlier this week we declared Pharrell‘s giant hat and the Twitter meme that grew out of it to be the best thing to come out of the Grammy Awards this year, but that was before we saw all the celebrity Grammy Awards looks recreated by tiny children.
We cannot deal. Tiny Pharrell in his giant Grammys hat is the best kid we have ever seen. And there are a lot more where he came from.
According to The Daily Mail, all this brilliant adorableness is the work of New York artist Tricia Messeroux, who is probably the best there is at making small children look like famous people on her mini red carpets that she calls “ToddleWood.”
Cyndi Lauper was amazing in Alexander McQueen at the Grammys.
And then there is tiny Cyndi Lauper, who manages to contain all the original chutzpah in half the size.
Tiny Taylor Swift is probably the best impersonator in the bunch. When this little girl is 17, she is totally going to be playing guitar and singing about love.
Tiny Chrissy Teigen and Tiny John Legend are amazing. We are jealous of her little gold dress, which looks just like the slinky gold one the real Chrissy Teigen wore.
The idea for ToddleWood, which also does birthday parties, came from Messeroux’s daughter, who sounds awesome.
“As a photographer, I’m always looking for a ‘big idea’ to find a way to stand out. I wanted a concept that allowed me to spend more time with my daughter, Skylar. I’ve always been told that Skylar looked like Diana Ross. So I made her look like Diana Ross one day when she was three years old and it hit me…ToddleWood was born.”
For the Mini Me version of the 56th Grammy Awards red carpet, Messeroux also created tiny versions of Katy Perry, Guliana Rancic, Paula Patton and Robin Thicke, and Madonna and her son David. Check out the rest of the tiny kids as art movement on the Toddlewood Facebook photo stream.
