Red Carpet Rundown: Sarah Hyland And Other Young Stars That’ll Make You Feel Super Old At The Vampire Academy Premiere

vampire lede

As much as we are eager to see Vampire Academy and enjoy seeing young movie stars stretch their fashion legs, this is one red carpet guaranteed to make you feel really, really old. Some of the actresses are certainly out past their bedtime, and we’re pretty sure they had an armed escort to keep out anyone over the age of 27. With a young red carpet comes some pretty cute dresses in a rainbow of colors, so it makes for some excellent fashion eye candy.

Check out what Sarah Hyland, Zoey Deutch, Olga Kurylenko, and the other young starlets wore …

Olga Kurylenko Vampire Academy premiere

Olga Kurylenko looks awesome in this insanely difficult to wear color. That must be one of the many benefits of naturally being unspeakably beautiful.

katherine mcnamara vampire academy

Katharine McNamara proves redheads can wear red, but otherwise the soggy draping and half-assed asymmetrical hem on this dress do nothing for us. The rose-print shoes are perplexing. We’re going to have to ponder them and write a think piece later.

Sabrina Carpenter looks adorbs, and this is pretty much all we wanted to wear when we were 14, so props to her for living the dream.

Sami Gayle vampire academy

Sami Gayle‘s hair and dress are fantastic, but her eye makeup is a bit over the top.

She barely made it off the red carpet before Katy Perry tackled her for these shoes.

Bella Thorne vampire academy

Bella Thorne has the best hair in the world, but she doesn’t benefit a lot from the full red carpet glamour treatment. We never thought we’d say this, but Bella Thorne might be the one celebrity who actually looks best in her Coachella gear. The dress is by AQ/AQ, though Thorne wore her straps differently.

Debby Ryan

There are a disproportionate number of redheads on this red carpet, aren’t there? Debby Ryan‘s side-swept hair looks cute, and we actually dig this whole look, including the day-glo shoes.

When we saw Debby Ryan’s starburst earrings, someone said, “It’s showtime, Synergy!”

Then we realized Debby Ryan is too young to get that reference, and we were sad.

Everyone was born in the 90s.

Read on for Zoey Deutch, Sarah Hyland, Holland Roden and more.

I am so excited to see this movie (knowing full well none of my friends will go with me no matter how much I beg!) and I’m SO into everything on this red carpet right now. Zooey Deutch reminds me so much of a younger Ellen Page.

I’m cautious about this movie. The earlier trailers made it look awful. However, I’m a fan of the books (although the first one is definitely not the best). I don’t know if I”ll see it in the theater, but I hope it does well because I’d love to see some of the events of later books come to life.

I haven’t read the books, but I’m a huge fan of Heathers, and the screenwriter is the one who penned the film. (Not to mention his brother, the director of Mean Girls, is behind the camera!) I know a lot of fans of the series are disappointed by the trailers but since I have nothing to compare it to I’m pretty excited! Maybe I’ll read the series after I see the film.

I think they all look absolutely wonderful…the only one I’ve heard of is Sarah Hyland though…

Love all the fellow redheads at this, but I can’t get on board with Holland Roden’s outfit. Too much.
