Much has been said of Miley Cyrus‘ Bangerz Tour. Some of it is good, some of it is bad, and some of it will make you gag on your own vomit, but all of it confirms what we already know: people really, really like to see Miley Cyrus do…stuff. And now they get to see her kiss people, too! More specifically, Katy Perry. Cue every “I Kissed a Girl” joke you can possibly imagine, because she did it, and she liked it, and one of the two parties likely wore cherry Chapstick, the end.
At her concert in Los Angeles at the Staples Center on Saturday, Miley performed for a crowd of 15,000, some of whom were fellow celebrities including Katy, Hilary Duff, Christina Aguilera, Harry Styles, Sarah Paulson, and Joel Madden (okay, so some of them were celebrities and some of them were your now-defunct eighth grade crushes). Miley’s performance garnered e-cheering from plenty of those celebs:

Whether or not you love Miley, it is pretty adorable to see celebrities geek out over one another. (It kind of makes me wish social media existed 60 years ago so we could read Lucille Ball livetweeting Maureen O’Hara‘s performances.) But the really big moment came for Katy Perry, who locked lips with Miley during one song. According to Ashley Ruskiewicz at LA Celebrity Examiner, it was all part of the show:
During the performance of “Adore You,” a kiss cam was in motion where Cyrus encouraged fans to “use as much tongue as they could” with the person next to them, (unless of course, Miley prefaced, it was a parent.) “I don’t know if you know this, but tongue is really appreciated at a Miley Cyrus show,” Cyrus took this time to not only belt out her ballad, but to show Katy Perry some love in the front row with a kiss.
Miley posted a photo, naturally, because as they say: pics seen by 17.2 million followers or it didn’t happen!
Katy, on the other hand, opted to tweet the aftermath:

So, there you have it: another “make out for the cameras!” moment, brought to you by Celebritiez (TM).
P.S. Irrelevant to the story, but while finding pics, I spotted this photo of the “general atmosphere” outside the Bangerz show in Anaheim:
[Insert lighthearted cackle of appreciation for appropriate irony.]
