The words “wardrobe malfunction” have held a certain negative, or at least embarrassing, connotation since their inception into our vocabularies back in 2004. When we see “wardrobe malfunction!” in a headline, we immediately know the photos will be awkward. However, in Kristen Bell‘s case, the pictures are actually the cutest thing you will see all day.
While on the red carpet at The TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Bell experienced a surprising amount of wind. Being that she was in sunny Southern California and that she’s a super cool superstar, she was wearing a lovely baby pink J. Mendel gown with an off-center split, so while these little breezes wouldn’t so much as remove our tightly-wrapped scarves here in nippy New York, she was faced with quite the Marilyn Monroe a la Seven Year Itch situation. However, she handled it like a total pro, as you can see from this adorable series of photos from the event.
It doesn’t hurt that she styled the look magnificently, too. With her white satin J. Mendel clutch, Piaget rose gold earrings and sleek ponytail, she rocked the dress like nobody’s business. And just as I was with the Oscars earlier this month, I am positively loving her makeup. It is simple, pretty and polished–a great choice for this soft red carpet look. Super down.
Given how highly-anticipated the return of Veronica Mars is among its deeply devoted fan base, I imagine we will continue seeing numerous wonderful looks from Bell in the near future.
