In Case You Were Wondering, Lisa Turtle Is All Grown Up And Cannot Apply Her Own Makeup

Lark Voorhies Does Not Look Like Lisa Turtle Whatsoever Anymore

Remember Lisa Turtle, the beloved rich girl from Saved By The Bell? Well, Lark Voorhies is the actress who played her, but she does not look all that much like Lisa Turtle any longer. And by “not all that much,” I mean she looks about as much like Lisa Turtle as Courtney Stodden looks like Kermit the Frog. Here was her look at the Where We Started premiere in Los Angeles at the Arena Theater:

Here’s a close-up of her makeup for those of you curious about how foundation should not be applied:

Did you recognize her? Yeah, me neither. While her white dress with silver trim looked nice with those matching silver pumps and her metallic bracelet, Lark’s makeup was a mess. Her foundation was applied too thickly and evenly, making her face appear to be several varying shades; the lipstick was all sorts of goopy; her eyes are being swallowed by far-too-light concealer; the blush is blotchy and too dark. There also seems to be some glitter going on here which is never a good sign.

Her hair was sleek and nicely styled, but the makeup distracted from this look’s positive points. It was hard not to notice that she looks so dissimilar to when she was playing Lisa, which could be attributed to this bizarre makeup disaster or possibly plastic surgery.

Of course, Voorhies isn’t the only person we have noticed looking real different lately. We recently saw photos of Renee Zellweger at an event and didn’t even recognize her until we saw Getty’s caption for the photo spelling out her name I know, I know–even celebrities’ faces change and evolve and do not look the exact same way forever. They’re human! That makes total sense. But then sometimes, it is impossible not to notice just how different a celebrity looks, and in Voorhies’ case, she looks pretty effing changed.

Whoa!!! Also, is it just me or is there some sort of unibrow going on here?

  • Kay_Sue

Whoa. Is that really, really bad lighting compounding the makeup? I hope so.

      I don’t think so. Unfortunately.

She’s also been battling mental health problems, most noticeably in the last couple of years, so you might want to give her a break.

  • Makmck

Don’t make fun of her. She has mental problems.

  • Tammy

A real reporter would have done some type of erase arc and found out that she has some kind of mental illness. Being a reporter does not give you the right to be a cyber bully!

“Some type of REASEARCH” typo / / / / vvvvvvvvv

She has a skin disorder that has caused lots of discoloration on her complexion…nice going Samantha Escobar!

She uses the foundation to even her skin tone out.

Lark has Lupus (a serious autoimmune disorder and also Bi-polar disorder (a serious mental health issue.) Please show some compassion and research possible extenuating circumstances before you write a hatchet piece on someone’s misapplied makeup.

    Bad form Escobar…

I think its the combination of plastic surgery overdone, lupus and makeup turned the beautiful girl into such a women. We should not laugh at her! I found an article talking more about her surgeries http://slimcelebrity.com/plastic-surgery/lark-voorhies-lisa-turtle-plastic-surgery-before-and-after-photos-nose-job-facial-fillers-and-skin-lightening/

Her makeup does look terrible and she does look nothing like I would have imagined. If she has mental problems, that’s sad. If she has physical health issues, that is also sad. I hope she gets better. I’m not sure that it’s fair to jump all over a blogger on a fashion and beauty site because they wrote a piece about fashion and/or beauty without checking to make sure there wasn’t another reason for what is a bad look. It’s one thing to inform someone of something they didn’t know. It’s another to just assume that the blogger is a terrible person who makes fun of mental disorders.

You realize lupus causes skin imperfections and rashes. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for making fun of her for the effects of an illness.
