Solange Getting Angry With Rachel Roy Is No Excuse For Hitting Jay Z

New details about the Jay Z and Solange Knowles debacle have been trickling out. Different unnamed “sources” and “onlookers” have spoken to media outlets like People, bringing out fresh yet ultimately useless information concerning the vicious events that transpired in an elevator at a Met Gala afterparty.

The new information pertaining to the altercation alleges that Solange was not intoxicated, but had been “heated” throughout the night. She might have had a run in with designer Rachel Roy who “provoked” her during the party prior the elevator incident with Jay Z. Regardless, Solange’s mood before the fight seems a bit irrelevant unless she laid hands on Roy or other people the source says she was “yelling at.” She physically attacked Jay Z and that’s very different from some voice raising.

Another source had potentially legitimate, but very vague, intel about the particular occurrence captured on the surveillance footage seen round the world:

“Jay said something inappropriate to Beyoncé and Solange, and she snapped…When they got in the elevator, it escalated quickly the way family tensions can. It got exceptionally heated the way family moments can.”

That same source added that “Solange is super protective of Beyoncé,” which seems to imply that Solange’s act of violence was born of sisterly love. Family tensions can escalate and get very dirty very quickly. Without evidence of any words exchanged, this information hardly illuminates what really happened and why.

In terms of how Solange is faring in the aftermath of this fiasco, the unnamed reports that “She’s fine now…She’s back home in New Orleans and she’s going on with her business.”

Regardless of how many sources and partygoers go to the media to discuss tidbits of information regarding the fight, it’s still very unclear what, if anything significant, caused Solange to attack her sister’s husband. Until further notice, this is all highly speculative.

” So until we have any actual information of substance (which we likely
won’t ever have), let’s hold off on grabbing up whispers of information
and creating a narrative. We just don’t know what happened.”

That’s a quote from something ya’ll POSTED JUST A FEW HOURS AGO. Then you go ahead and post more speculation. Clearly The Gloss is not above speculating on this story, so just fess up and admit it.

I’m not your bb. When folks get on a high horse about something and then fail to act on it, I get pissed. It’s part of the overall decline of this site in the past year.

      Also, wine coolers, really?
