So far, the 67th Cannes Film Festival has seen an array of fun looks on plenty of stars, but last night’s Calvin Klein‘s celebration of Women in Film was host to lots of our favorite stylish celebrities. It’s always fun to see who wears what to parties, as more playful pieces tend to come out, whereas the red carpet for premieres is generally kept more formal. On this particular evening, the party saw a wonderful lineup of Lupita Nyong’o, Julianne Moore, Rooney Mara and more! Oh, and did I mention none of them wore sleeves? They didn’t, and it was spectacular.
Lupita Nyong’o picked a sleek strapless Calvin Klein Collection dress for the party, pairing it with silver sandals and a simple makeup look. As per usual, she radiates effortless style.
Naomi Watts‘ pale pink Calvin Klein Collection dress went almost to her ankles, giving this a semi-formal feel.
…And then she popped off the jacket and it sort of reminded me of that pretty pale pink dress Kristen Bell wore not too long ago.
After Julianne Moore’s weird-but-comfy braless leather look yesterday, I expected a little more than this. It feels too much like a bridesmaid’s dress for a rather dull affair, so that was a bummer. Plus, the bodice doesn’t seem to fit very well.
Rooney Mara wore a white custom Calvin Klein dress that fit her pretty well and looked extra cool with her faux-asymmetrical cut (unlike Rosario Dawson‘s real one, which she debuted today).
Louise Roe kind of got the “no sleeves” memo. Almost. Regardless, I absolutely love this dress–the cobalt shade looks stunning and the fit is perfect. It was a great choice for the night, though I wish her makeup had been super simple. Maybe just taupe shadow with navy blue liquid liner or a shock of blue mascara.
And Victoria Bonya missed the memo altogether. :( I don’t know why I am doing a sad face as though this was a real memo and not my imaginary dress code, but at the very least, I think she was probably fairly warm in this long-sleeved and very dramatic (albeit stunning) dress.
