This Is A Nipple Bikini Top And It Is Awesome For Obvious Reasons

Tata Top BikiniThis is the PG way to “show” a nipple. Judging how the internet went craaaaaaazy yesterday over Kim Kardashian’s “exposed” nipple, AKA her nipple outline was visible under a nude bra, I’m sure this top will be a  Twitter trending topic soon enough. It should be, because it’s awesome.

Areolae are one of the biggest trends this summer, besides crop tops. Fashion pioneer Rihanna is a strong supporter of visible nipples, while Beyoncé chose a slightly more modest approach with a braless nipple selfie. Who could forget Scout Willis doing her part for the Free The Nipple Campaign by parading around NYC sans shirt? Props to her.

If you don’t have the guts to go topless yet, the TaTa Top is a brilliant alternative. Cheekily described as “the breast bikini top ever” it is a skin-colored bikini top, complete with well-placed nipples that make it look like you’re not wearing a shirt, while you preserve your modesty. The top comes in different sizes that fit A cups to D and above, so everyone small-boobed and bigger-breasted can get in on the fun. It also comes in two different shades for a more realistic trompe l’oeil effect. There isn’t a three nipple version yet, but I’m sure that’s in the works.

The makers aren’t directly affiliated with the Free The Nipple campaign, but they share the same ethos:

“The TaTa Top is far more than nipples on a bikini top. As a brand we work to promote questioning the social norm and digging deeper when it comes to society’s expectations.”

Plus, $5 from every pre-ordered TaTa Top will go directly to the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation which supports breast cancer research. Each top is only $28 and they’re available to buy from their website.

So if you’re looking for a bikini top that is fun and promotes good causes, go out and get a TaTa Top, stat. If anyone gives you flack for wearing one just say: “It’s just boobs, ya’ll. Get over it!”

Is it weird that I want to sing, “Cha cha real smooth” but change the words to “Ta ta?” I am so strange in the morning.
