Another day, another celebrity getting photoshopped into unrecognizable oblivion. Today’s victim: Zooey Deschanel on the cover of InStyle Magazine. Or at least, I think it is Zooey Deschanel, or perhaps it is a rejected wax figure of her from Madame Tussaud’s museum. I am not actually sure, but what I do know is that this is not what Zooey Deschanel looks like.
The New Girl star and adorkable millennial style icon covers the August 2014 issue of InStyle, which would be lovely and all given that she is a stunning lady with a seriously snazzy fashion sense. Instead, we simply see a Zooey shell with skin so airbrushed, there are more realistic Barbies out there. Ironically, the cover story is labeled, “Zooey! On Being Normal, Label Snobs & World Domination.” She’s so normal, in fact, that her pores have simply ran away from her face in order to chase their eccentric dreams. Here is a side by side of what the InStyle cover looks like versus how Zooey looked at a recent event:
And we are not the only ones who noticed–plenty of her fans are complaining, too.
Zooey, is that really you? http://t.co/sK5TJux5qY

@InStyle It doesn’t look like Zooey. Why so heavily photoshopped?

We know photoshop can be used for good purposes, but this is not one of them. This is just another silly cover that transforms a lovely, stunning star into a super smooth doll that veers deep down into the uncanny valley.
