“Buying American” doesn’t mean purchasing all, red, white and blue–though if you want to buy patriotic-colored clothing, there’s nothing wrong with that too. Purchasing something that is made in the good ol’ USA is good for you, and it’s good for the country. When you’re helping to boost the economy, it’s fine to spend your Benjamins on a second crop top, provided you don’t go on too wild of a spending spree. As we’ve learned as a country, going into debt doesn’t solve any problems. Because I’m already starting to sound like a rowdy politician on the campaign trail, let’s just get to the clothing and beauty products that are manufactured in the USA.
Here are 10 brands that are proud to be made in America:
Secret Sweater is a company that designs cardigans for people who are always cold, like me. And they are much more stylish than wearing a duvet 24/7. The lightweight sweaters have an open front and are meant to be layered under blazers and jackets to keep you warm but ssssssh! no one is supposed to know they’re there.
USA Credentials: Secret Sweaters are made exclusively in the USA. They’ve also joined the Made in America Movement.
2. CASA de MODA

USA Credentials: If the name didn’t give it away, yes, American Apparel is made in the U.S.Their Made In The USA nail polish line is also manufactured in America. Duh. Even their vintage line, California Select, is mostly sourced through Californian vendors. Bravo.
