Oscars Nominee LuncheonThe 2016 Oscars are going to be here before we know it. Awards season is well underway, though; we’ve had the SAG Awards, the Golden Globes, the People’s Choice Awards, and the Critics’ Choice Awards. Yesterday was the 88th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon, and while it may not be nearly as fancy as the main event, there was still plenty of fashion on the red carpet. From Lady Gaga fresh off her Super Bowl performance looking lovely in a nude to dress to Saoirse Ronan in an adorable tweed suit, the looks will make you even more excited for the Oscars.

Ever the fashion chameleon, Lady Gaga went from a sparkly red Gucci suit at the Super Bowl to a flowing nude gown at the Oscars Nominee Luncheon. Everyone loves some wild Gaga, but these very simple, elegant looks are flawless.

2. Alicia Vikander

This may not be the edgiest look we have seen Alicia Vikander in, but it is still pretty. Plus, it is perfect for a luncheon. The dress’s color is great for the red carpet and the embellished shoes add some interest.

3. Rachel McAdams

How fun is Rachel McAdams’s dress? Some might say that it is a bit fancy for a luncheon, but if you are an Oscar nominee, is anything really too fancy? Just looking at this peach dress with metallic trim puts you in a good mood.

4. Rooney Mara

Rooney Mara always goes for very fashion forward looks for formal events so it is always interesting to see how she makes her signature style work for day. She stuck mostly with her black and white color palette but added a pop of color with the floral embroidery.

5. Saoirse Ronan

We haven’t seen many short suits on the red carpet recently and Saoirse Ronan is making a strong case to bring them back. This is polished yet fun. The open-toe shoes are the perfect accessory for the look.

6. Brie Larson

This is how you wear a monochrome look and make it interesting. Brie Larson’s ladylike pink blouse balances the quirky striped skirt with eye print. Then her two-tone heels tie everything together.

7. Jennifer Lawrence

Of course Jennifer Lawrence can show up in a simple black suit and still steal the show. It will be interesting to see whether she continues with this minimalist theme for her actual Oscars gown or whether she goes for something dramatic. Either way, you know she is going to look amazing.
