Best-Dressed Celebrities

1. Alicia Vikanderattends the EE British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Opera House on February 14, 2016 in London, England.

If Alicia Vikander isn’t your awards season fashion crush yet, this leather Louis Vuitton dress should be the piece to sway you. It’s tough yet feminine, and it does not look like every other dress on the red carpet. The dress would have been amazing without the embellishment, but it takes it to another level.

2. Cate Blanchettposes in the winners room at the EE British Academy Film Awards at The Royal Opera House on February 14, 2016 in London, England.

Cate Blanchett can do no wrong. This Alexander McQueen dress is perfect for her. It works in close-up shots and it works in head-to-toe ones. Most people would have gone with minimal jewelry when they had a dress with this much detail, but Cate opted for dangling earrings and a cuff, and pulled it off.

3. Emilia Clarkeposes in the winners room at the EE British Academy Film Awards at The Royal Opera House on February 14, 2016 in London, England.

We have seen a lot of cutouts on the red carpet. Many people are wishing they would go away like naked dresses, but Emila Clarke put a fresh spin on the trend with these simple shoulder cutouts. This is a unique and very flattering neckline.

4. Rooney Maraattends the EE British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Opera House on February 14, 2016 in London, England.

This was a perfect look for Rooney Mara. It suited her style perfectly, but it does not look like any other dress she has worn during awards season. Who would have thought that hexagons would make for such a good dress? We’re also on board for her trying to bring back the headband.

5. Dakota Johnsonattends the EE British Academy Film Awards at The Royal Opera House on February 14, 2016 in London, England.

Hats off to Dakota Johnson for not caring about the cold weather and wearing this slip dress on the red carpet. She is probably frozen to the bone, but she looks amazing. It’s an effortless look. The frills add just the right amount of romance to it.

6. Saoirse Ronanattends the EE British Academy Film Awards at The Royal Opera House on February 14, 2016 in London, England.

A lot of the times when celebs wear statement jewelry on the red carpet it feels contrived or they put all the focus on the piece instead of themselves. Saoirse Ronan shows everyone how it’s done. She paired her multicolored necklace with a printed dress. The resulting look is young and fun. Plus, the colors of the dress and necklace complement each other perfectly.
