If you have already tested out the wearable beauty trends from NYFW, don’t worry, there are more for you to try out. The Fall 2016 shows at London Fashion Week gave us some easy hair and makeup looks that we can actually wear IRL. It doesn’t matter whether you prefer statement eyes or lips, there is a fresh beauty look for you to try. And if you want to make your hair the focus of your beauty look, there are some new options for you to try as well.
Here are five beauty looks from London Fashion Week anyone can wear:
1. Decorated Updo Both the hair and makeup at the Erdem show were very wearable. However, the soft updo with casually placed hair clip is a versatile look that will work for day or night. To get the look, roughly dry your hair with a blow dryer (Eva NYC Almighty Pro-Lite Iconic Hair Dryer, $60). Skip any finishing spray. Next, use a comb (Mason Pearson Rake Comb, $35) to create a side part. Gather your hair into a loose bun and secure with an elastic (H&M 10-Pack Hair Elastics, $2.99). It’s okay if a few layers fall out. You want a few face-framing pieces. Complete the look with a jeweled hair clip (Ashley Williams Fly Crystal Bobby Pins, $65) and a light mist of hairspray (Alterna Bamboo Smooth Anti-Humidity Hairspray, $18).
2. Burgundy Lips The Mary Katrantzou show presented a modern take on the classic red lip. Models’ faces were kept bare save for a splash of matte burgundy lipstick. Start off by applying a BB cream (Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream, $7.21) to even out your skin. Add concealer (Estee Lauder Double Wear Waterproof All Day Extreme Wear Concealer, $25) in any areas that you need it. For your lips, line them with a burgundy lip liner (NARS Velvet Lip Liner in Lanikai, $24) then fill them in. Follow it up with a coordinating lipstick (Smashbox Be Legendary Creamy Lipstick in Witchy, $21). For extra staying power, apply a lipstick sealant (Darci by DiCaprio Lip Seal, $22).
