If you don’t like to compromise on your use of designer skin care products, then you probably have been seriously annoyed at the new TSA regulations that have restricted carry-on liquids to a tiny 3 oz. size.  Sometimes I do love my drugstore products, but sometimes I just really don’t like to downgrade to the extremely limited offerings that come in the travel section at the local drugstore.  It seems that usually those aisles only carry a mini mouthwash and 2-in-1 shampoo plus conditioner (which just makes my hair disgusting), which just really aren’t going to be very helpful.

Evidently Kate Duff and Alexi Mintz share the same frustrations that I have and decided to actually create a solution to this problem.  On February 3 the website 3floz.com was launched to provide men and women bath and body products in a travel-friendly size.  The site carries a variety of primarily high-end beauty and grooming products all in sizes of 3 fl. oz. or less.  What an amazing idea!

The concept for the site is “for those who travel, those who are curious, and those who can’t commit,” which recognizes that not only can “sample sizes” be great for travel, but they are also perfect when you want to try out a new product.  Designer brand products are expensive and a lot of times you want to make sure that you are committed to the brand before splurging on a full-size of the product.  The kits offer a great way to start a new skin care routine with one of the brands that they carry.

Since 3floz.com has only been around for one month, their current selection is slightly limited but I can tell from the brands that they have started with that they value quality products.  Some of the lines they currently carry are Ahava, Archipelago Botanicals, Baxter of California, Ole Henrikson, The Art of Shaving, and Yes to Carrots.  There is a wide variety of individual products available on 3floz.com, but I am definitely drawn to the adorable little travel kits

Ole Henrikson Oily to Blemish Prone Skin Travel Kit $70

Archipelago Botanicals Pomegranate Travel Kit $28

Ahava Frequent Flier (Ready. Set. Jet.) $22

Air Repair Kit $65

I’m extremely excited about the launching of this site because it proposes an easy solution to a travel problem that has been gnawing at every man and woman who loves to fly but hates to compromise on their quality of skin care products.
