Happy first day of fall! To celebrate, let’s talk about the most summery thing we can possibly think of: sea salt-infused hair and skin care products!

If you’re wondering, what in the hell is wrong with this girl? I want to talk about pumpkin spice and fall boots, well, I’m sorry, but this is not the article for you. This one’s for the girl who’s like, fall? But doesn’t fall mean winter is coming? Yeah, no thanks. I’ll just stay here where it’s warm. This article is for the delusional girls–the ones who want to keep the fantasy of eternal summer alive.

And what better way to keep the fantasy alive than by covering ourselves from head-to-toe in sea salt? After all, sea salt is the most important ingredient in all of the best summer beauty products. To help you stay in denial all season long, here are nine of my favorite sea-salt infused hair and skin care products. Keep the dream alive, friends!

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray, $27

bumble

No list of sea salt hair care products would make sense without Bumble and Bumble’s Surf Spray. This seawater, kelp, and seaweed-infused spray was launched in 2001 and has remained a bestseller ever since. If you want your hair to look like you just spent the afternoon frolicking with Stephen Colletti on the shores of Laguna Beach, well, this is the spray you need.

LUSH Big Shampoo, $27.95; Sea Spray $13.95; and Ocean Salt, $21.95

lush sea saltLUSH makes the best sea salt hair and skin products. I can say that with total certainty because I use Big Shampoo, Sea Spray, and Ocean Salt all of the time and I’m totally fabulous and I’m in love with all of them. If you’re looking for added volume, Big Shampoo is your new best friend. Sea Spray actually revolutionized my entire hair care routine (it tamed frizz way better than any leave-in cream I’ve ever tried), and it smells amazing. Ocean Salt is the best facial exfoliant I’ve ever used, and it has vodka in it, so, you know, that’s always fun.

Future Gift solid sea salt and coconut milk shampoo bar, $1.50

soap

If you’re traveling in the near future and don’t want to be bogged down by too many hygiene products, consider this bar your new lifesaver. You can use it to wash your hair and your body, and all for less than the price of a cup of coffee.

Drybar Mai Tai Spritzer Sea Salt Spray, $25

mai tai

Mai Tai Spritzer hasn’t reached cult fave status like Surf Spray, but it’s definitely deserving of the title. Spray it on damp hair and tousle for beachy waves, or use it for touch ups on dry hair. A head’s up though: this spray doesn’t play well with perfume. It’s super fragrant, so spraying it on when you’re already wearing perfume might be olfactory overkill.

Nature’s Muse Salt Soap, $5

acne sea salt soap

If you thought sea salt was only good for making your hair look wavy and your skin feel soft, well, you’d be wrong. Nature’s Muse Salt Soap is made with sea salt, coconut oil, charcoal, tea tree oil, and lavender oil, and it works to clear up acne without stripping skin of moisture.

Bobbi Brown Beach, $74

beach

OK, so perfume isn’t exactly a hair or skin care product, but I couldn’t leave Beach off of the list. It just smells so… beachy and sea salty and sunscreeny, and if you’re in denial about summer being over, well, you need to douse yourself in this perfume ASAP. I just ordered my replacement bottle two days ago from Sephora.

Salacia Kiss My Grits lip scrub, $12.95

A little sea salt goes a long way when it comes to keeping your lips soft and smooth. Kiss My Grits lip scrub is made from Atlantic sea salt, vitamin E, Georgia stone ground white corn grits, organic sugar, organic coconut oil, and pecan oil.
