Bold eyebrow trends are blowing up on Instagram. There seems to be a new one every week with dragon brows, squiggle brows and feather brows all going viral. Just this week, we had foil brows, but there’s already a new, and even more, erm, eyebrow-raising trend that’s circulating the internet: braided brows.
That’s right, people are actually trying to braid their eyebrow hairs. However, they’re not having that much success with it, so they’re opting to Photoshop a perfectly plaited braid over their eyebrows for a fierce Insta-worthy look.
it's a bird.. it's a plane.. it's a- braided brow? yep! full credit for this concept goes to the amazing @erosmua 💛 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ this is most definitely, 100% photoshop (obviously😂) this look is entirely just for fun, and for everyone to have a little laugh. also, just a friendly reminder to not take things in life so seriously. sometimes its fun to get crazy with editing & let your ideas flow freely, as long as your open about it of course! hope you're all having a happy sunday 🌞 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ negative comments will be deleted, cause y'all are getting riled up over a damn photoshopped braid onto an eyebrow 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @anastasiabeverlyhills dipbrow: blonde @bhcosmetics @carlibel palette + @certifeye gold glitter @rouge.and.rogue 'luminara' lashes @tartecosmetics shape tape concealer @colourpopcosmerics flexitarian highlighter
Allure reports that the trend was conceived by makeup artist Eros Gomez. He originally tried to braid his brows using a lot of hair gel and spirit gum, but that didn’t get anywhere. Instead of opting for eyebrow extensions, he decided to simply Photoshop a braid into the look.
Other makeup artists are also adopting the look to complete their #flawless eye makeup in their Instagram photos. They do acknowledge that the trend is a bit out there, but they highlight that it’s fun and important not to take makeup too seriously.

If you’re looking for a braided brow trend that you can actually wear in real life, makeup artist @Sulinka_ recreated a braided eyebrow look using a eyebrow gel and fine pencil. It’s a much better alternative than trying to stick hair extensions on your brows. Trust us.
