The holiday season is coming, and you know what that means. It means that it’s time to update your beauty look accordingly. That often means themed nail art and possibly a new hair color trend, but you cannot forget about your makeup. If you’re already looking beyond Thanksgiving towards Christmas, you’re going to want to start playing around with candy cane liner.
Holiday eyeliner is almost becoming as popular as themed nail art or festive lip art. For Halloween, we had a variety of creepy-cool eyeliner looks including slime liner, knife liner and bloody liner. We’re also sure there is someone working on turkey liner, too. For the holidays, candy cane liner is already starting to be a major trend.
This look is inspired by the Chocolate dipped Candy Canes from @loganscandies! Logans has been open since 1933 and is family owned! Throughout the Christmas holidays they host candy cane demonstrations to watch the process of how they create their yummy candy canes (their presentation is quite funny too!) They are also home of the worlds largest candy cane! This shop is so charming with many stories to hear and every candy you can imagine! Recently they completely saved my butt when looking for Valentines candy in December for a project and I am so thankful! I highly recommend stopping by if you live near Ontario, CA! Candy cane eyeliner was popular last year and the trend is continuing this year because people cannot get enough of the red and white striped effect. The look traditionally involves people drawing their typical feline flick. However, instead of using the usual black eyeliner, they use white and red to form a striped design.
If you’re feeling creative, you can use the concept as a springboard for new ideas. You can throw some green in there or accent the flick with a black border. If you’re a fan of unconventional candy cane flavors like blueberry or even bacon, you can create a makeup look inspired by those. And there’s no need to stop at decorating your eyes. You can also try a candy cane-inspired lip art look too.
