Carly Fiorina, who recently won the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate seat in California, was caught on a live mic saying that her rival Barbara Boxer’s hair is “so yesterday.” The entire statement was, “God, what is that hair? So yesterday.”

Listen — that’s insulting to Boxer, is totally uncalled for, and is a very gendered insult that any female (or male, for that matter) politician should know far better than to make. But earth to Carly Fiorina — no one actually says “so yesterday”! Who do you think you are, the mean girl antagonist of an ’80’s movie? You know what’s so yesterday? Your method of insulting people. But at least your hair is just so today. NOT.
