86th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Forget Jennifer Lawrence, we now want to be celebrity BFFs with Amy Adams and Cate Blanchett, who celebrated together by going out to get some tattoos after the Oscars.

We have to give them credit for even getting out of bed on Monday morning. Amy Adams and Cate Blanchett had to stay at the Oscars the whole night in high heels and haute couture–then change into different heels and gowns for the after parties–because they were both nominated in the Best Actress category (Cate won, which means Adams went home with the $88k consolation swag). Ugh, we’re exhausted just thinking about it. We celebrated Monday by sleeping in, and we only had to stay up to cover the Oscars in our comfy slippers.  But instead of relaxing in a bathtub full of Epsom salts and diamonds, Amy Adams and Cate Blanchett popped up bright and early the next morning and went out to get some ink.

According to the Daily News, they met up at Hollywood’s Shamrock Social Club on Monday morning. Cate brought her husband, Andrew Upton, and Amy Adams brought fiancé Darren Le Gallo.

We don’t see any bandages on Adams, so the princess from Enchanted may not be all tatted up after all, but Le Gallo left with plastic wrapped around his right forearm.

But Cate Blanchett definitely got one.

Blanchett left with a dark bandage around her wrist, somehow making a tattoo bandage look chic with her dark suit and messy bun. Unfortunately, the opaque wrap means we’re not sure what her new tattoo looks like. But Cate Blanchett with a tattoo should really end all discussion of tattoos being “corny and degrading.”  If Blanchett has one, tattoos are officially as classy as Hermès Kelly bags and Chanel suits.
