It’s a running joke that the 90s supermodels never age. Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, Christi Turlington, and Claudia Schiffer dominated the fashion and modeling world in the 90s, and they’re still the standard by which all new supermodel careers are judged. And it’s true that they all still look like the rich, hardworking, and genetically gifted supermodels that they are, but it isn’t actually true that none of them have aged. They’re human beings, and that’s what human beings do, and a new leaked photo of Cindy Crawford is earning applause on the Internet for showing what the 49-year-old supermodel looks like without any Photoshop.

British news anchor Charlene White revealed the photos, which can be seen here, on Twitter, saying, “Cindy Crawford’s April spread in Marie Claire features 100% non-retouched photos. Take a bow Ms. C.”

Whtie appears to have misattributed the photos, however, as Marie Claire says the un-Photoshopped picture is not from an upcoming issue. The picture was actually taken as part of a cover story for Marie Claire Mexico in 2013. Marie Claire confirms that the image is 100-percent real, however, and said that Crawford’s body “is real, it is honest, and it is gorgeous.”

In the photo, Crawford has some wrinkles and she doesn’t have rock-hard six-pack abs, and she still looks amazing. She doesn’t look exactly like she did when she was 20, but that’s just the way life works. The photo is an honest picture of  what a 47-year-old woman’s body looks like when that woman is a rich, lucky woman who has won the genetic Lottery, runs a skincare company, and works very, very hard to stay fit.

Several people replied to White’s tweet saying that the image of Crawford made them feel like they could be more comfortable with their own aging bodies, because it reminded them that they’re not supposed to look 20 anymore. The messed up part is that Photoshop is so pervasive that people don’t even realize what real bodies look like anymore, and we expect everyone to stop aging at 24 and have smooth, poreless, abs of steel until they are 90.

56-year-old actress and fellow genetic Lottery winner Jamie Lee Curtis applauded Crawford’s un-retouched photo, saying:

In support, Curtis posted an un-Photoshopped picture of herself in a bra and underwear, and she looks pretty similar to Crawford. It’s a good reminder that even movie stars and supermodels age, and a 49-year-old body is nothing to be afraid of.
