Doutzen Kroes is the supermodel queen of September–fronting a record-breaking four covers of the year’s most important issue. Which is to say, expect to see a lot more of Kroes, an industry veteran and Victoria’s Secret angel who landed her first Italian Vogue cover back in 2005.
As part of her supermodel promotional duties, Kroes chatted with British Vogue–who won’t be featuring her on the cover, but who did snag her time for the next best thing: diet tips! You know, because that’s what women give a shit about.
Kroes revealed how she stays fit on the road (she brings protein bars and fresh fruit to airports) and that “[she] loves green juices.” If you aren’t blown away yet, wait–there’s more! Vogue asked how she prepares for a shoot:
I maintain a healthy lifestyle all year round for my job but I definitely try to eat extra clean the night before a shoot and make sure to fit in a workout so that I feel my best. It’s also very important to be well rested so I try to get a good night’s sleep.
While she admits to being “a big French fry girl”–which she tries to avoid, but sometimes simply cannot–she neglects to mention the critical importance of her supermodel genes.
In other news: salad and grilled chicken. Salmon and steamed veggies. Everything in moderation! EVERYTHING!
