Last week I told you about the new CK One Summer fragrance that was sent to me for review. Today, I’ve got two more from Calvin Klein Fragrances (also samples for review) – Eternity Summer and Eternity Summer for Men. These two Eternity scents have been updated for the warmer months with fresh notes and a new bottle featuring images of waves. The intention of both is to bring to mind the ocean shore at first light.
Eternity Summer is an eau de parfum that will retail at 3.4 ounces for $54. It’s a sweet Floral fragrance with the sweetness coming from a floral, rather than a vanilla or candy-smelling note. The sweetness does mellow as the base notes of musk, amber, and wood come through.
It’s nice, but I prefer the CK One Summer to this, in the long run. I like the fruitiness of the CK One Summer. The Eternity Summer’scent lasted much longer than the Eternity Summer Men’s fragrance, which makes sense as the men’s scent is an eau de toilette.
Top note: Grapefruit, Ginger, Passion Flower
Middle note: Pink Peony, Freesia, Muguet
Base note: Creamy Musks, White Amber, Driftwood
Eternity Summer for Men smells Summery to me. It has a smell of the sea to it, but no water or sea accord note. It does, however, have a Sea Salt Mist, so perhaps that is it. It retails at 3.4 ounces for $54.
The opening is fruity, the Bergamot really comes through, then it settles into a woody base. It’s nice, but it smells very similar to many men’s fragrances. I wish it had a little more lasting power, too, but like I said, nice. Fresh, clean, definitely Summery.
Top note: Kumquat, Pineapple, Bergamot
Middle note: Cardamom, Lush Bamboo, Cedarleaf
Base note: Sea Salt Mist, Teak Wood, Guaiac Wood
You can find both Eternity Summer scents at Calvin Klein fragrances online and at selected department stores. They are both limited edition fragrances.
