Would you like to smell like arachnaphobia? How about embalming fluid? Or maybe you like your scents literary, and would prefer a Les Fleurs Du Mal perfume? Delightfully dark perfumery Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab has got you covered. (It’s the first thing that comes up when you Google “goth perfume,” so you know it’s good.)

And it’s not just confined to the scary stuff; their whimsical website has perfumes based on all manner of things, from absinthe to Alice In Wonderland. There’s a fairy tale and folklore collection, an H.P. Lovecraft collection, and even a collection based on the Nathaniel Hawthorne short story Rappaccini’s Daughter. There’s a collection based on the Seven Deadly Sins, a cute one based on The Last Unicorn, a New Orleans-themed one illustrated by friend of The Gloss Molly Crabapple, and…okay, stopping myself before I buy them all.

Of course, the concept is often better than the execution with things like this, but my friend Amy owns a few of them and I can confirm with my very own nose that they smell pretty good, so there. Smell like your favorite obscure work of literature today!
