Gisele Bundchen Fall 2013 H&M campaign

Today, in things that really bum us out: as part of her Fall 2013 campaign duties for H&M, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has recorded a cover of “All Day and All of the Night,” a perfect song by The Kinks.

Now, we are huge assholes for leading with that, because it is a charity single. Every free download of which benefits UNICEF. Really sorry. Per Vogue:

The song, All Day And All Of The Night by The Kinks, will be available for free download from hm.com, and will also be on iTunes, raising money for UNICEF. For every single download from iTunes, H&M will make a donation to UNICEF to enable the purchase of vaccines for children.

“I am so excited to be the face of H&M this autumn,” Gisele said. “I love the street style look, and that we can raise funds for a good cause. I hope everyone downloads my song!”

As for the recording itself, if you are so inclined, you may witness Gisele in the studio wearing a considered H&M look (below). No, she cannot sing, and, no it doesn’t really matter because her voice becomes so processed (and ultimately swallowed by the production) that you can’t really hear it. As far as supermodels turned singers go, we’d rank it somewhere in the neighborhood of Tyra Banks, but less self-serving.

Here’s the footage of Gisele in the studio. After you’ve watched 30 seconds, go listen to the original:
