Pat McGrath has created a frenzy since launching her namesake makeup line, but she is far from the only high profile makeup artist to have her own range. Look at everyone from Charlotte Tilbury to Francois Nars to Bobbi Brown. You can now add one more to the list because Gucci Westman is launching a makeup line, called Westman Atelier, for Spring 2018.
If the name isn’t immediately familiar, chances are you’re still familiar with Gucci’s work. The makeup artist was previously the artistic director for Lancôme then Revlon. She has many other credits to her name working with celebrities and on editorials, campaigns and runway shows. Throughout the course of her work, she has become known for her light-handed approach to perfect skin. Rather than using heavy products to sculpt and highlight, she uses products sparingly for a your-skin-but-better look.
This is part of the ethos behind Westman Atelier. The brand’s website describes the range as being “consciously crafted … clean-formulated, performance-first make-up that actually improves your skin while making it look flawless.” In other words, these are makeup products that don’t just cover up, they help perfect thanks to skin care ingredients.
WWD reports that the range will launch with six products including highlighters, foundations, blush and contour sticks. In addition to good-for-skin ingredients they come in chic portable packages with magnetic closures. Prices will range from $48 to $68.
As for when we can get our hands on the collection, it will launch in April 2018 at Barneys.com and WestmanAtelier.com. No specific date has been announced but you can sign up at WestermanAtelier.com to keep updated.
