Are you still staring at nail brows? Are you still wondering what exactly the deal with fishtail brows is? You might want to come back to those later because there is another bold brow trend to discuss that’s sweeping the internet: Halo brows.

Some people might assume that halo brows has to do with using highlighter to create some angelic glow, but it’s actually a bit more literal than that. The trend has makeup artists creating a halo shape out of their two eyebrows. Really.

The phrase and look were coined by MUA and Instagrammer @HannahDoesMakeup. She explained on Instagram that she and a fellow Instagrammer were talking about the fishtail trend when they actually came up with the look. At first glance, you might think that it’s Photoshop, but it’s actually the result of some impressive makeup skills. Hannah used NYX Cosmetics Tame and Frame Brow Pomade in Espresso to extend the ends of her brows up and around to her forehead where they joined together creating a unibrow/halo effect. She completed the look with Primark Dubai Lashes and Sleek Makeup Vitality Foundation in 04.
