Fackbook Acquires WhatsApp For $16 Billion

We’re part of the “why would I get out of bed and look out a window when my phone can tell me whether or not the sun is shining” generation, and that’s nothing to be ashamed of. When our grandparents were working in dirty factories and tilling the land, they were daydreaming about a future; a future in which every single one of us gets the chance to download an app that tells us that our hair will be frizzy if it’s humid outside. That beautiful American dream? It’s now. We owe it to generations past to download How’s Your Hair.

If you haven’t figured it out already, the concept behind this app is incredibly simple… but at the same time, pretty genius. Just plug in your location and enjoy your personalized weather report, complete with humidity level, chance of precipitation, and even fun updates on wind speed. When I told it I live in Los Angeles, the app gave me this little gem: “The wind is blowing at 5.6km/hour, just enough wind to make your hair look like you’re Beyoncé standing in front of a medium power fan.” When I pretended to be in Paris, it helpfully informed me that there’s a chance of rain and I shouldn’t bother straightening my hair. If I were in Dubai this afternoon, I could expect frizz.

I really appreciate How’s Your Hair because it cares about me. Never again will I have to stand outside in the elements, exposing my hair to air without knowing how much product to use. This is the kind of world our Founding Fathers dreamed of– and you know John Adams would’ve been all about it. Powdered wig maintenance isn’t easy.
