iskra lawrence

This is plus-size model Iskra Lawrence. As you can see, she has the most absolutely bangin’ body you’ve ever seen in recent history (probably—I won’t pretend to know how many beautiful women you look on any given day). You likely remember her from her brief appearance in Aerie‘s #AerieMAN campaign, the brand’s relatively ill-formed April Fools’ prank. She also appears in their #AerieREAL campaign, ads for Simply Be, and can rock a Baywatch-style swimsuit better than anyone I’ve ever seen. She is, in a word, a knockout.

But some people out there on the Internet (read: soulless trolls) don’t seem to agree with me. Iskra posted the below photo after a recent trip to Puerto Rico:

One Instagram user, who clearly never learned the age-old adage, “If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all,” decided to voice their very rude and very incorrect opinions in the comments section. Iskra shared a photo of said comment on her Facebook page, which I have (begrudgingly) transcribed below:

“Big fat ass…. Why is it acceptable these days to have big fat asses?? And for it to be ok? Fat cow. It’s only cos [sic] every f**ker on this planet is obese that that’s the norm… Plus size models? Give me a f**king break. Everyone needs to stop eating McDonald’s, the NHS is f**ked because of people like her eating too many bags of crisps.”

First of all, I will never stop eating McDonald’s. I honestly don’t even think that that’s a physical possibility. Second of all, if I could eat “too many bags of crisps” and look like Iskra Lawrence, you bet your ass I’d be downing family size bags of Lay’s every chance I got. And third of all, this comment is just rude AF. It’s never okay to call someone a “fat cow,” and frankly, these comments could be seriously damaging to anyone’s self-esteem or psyche.

Iskra didn’t let one asshat get her down though. Rather, she took it upon herself to show that commenter just how wrong they were by directly responding to the latter claim that she “eats too many crisps.” The results are truly glorious:

The caption reads,

“I’m sorry I couldn’t help myself…This is for anyone who has ever been called FAT. Thanks for the inspirational words on a recent pic @zseanzbrown…Opinions are like a**holes – everyone’s got one”

I mean, YAS GIRL. I love that she not only responded to the hate in such a beautiful way (of course she looks absolutely stunning while lying on a giant pile of potato chip bags), but she actually directly calls out the hater in question. IMHO, people like that kind of deserve what’s coming to them.

Iskra didn’t stop there, though. In one final, glorious shot, she showed the world just how sexy “eating too many crisps” can be:
