Despite everything she has been put through lately, Jennifer Lawrence is working hard in Hollywood as ever. Given that she is one of the biggest stars in the world, she’s still representing some huge names, including Dior. While we really loved the last couple sets of Dior ads featuring Jennifer, these new ones are almost obnoxiously photoshopped. While beautiful, Jen barely looks like herself and that makes me a little sad.
The French label’s fall/winter 2014 ads for the “Be Dior” Flap bag see Jennifer in some seriously gorgeous clothes, including pantsuits designed by Raf Simons that I admittedly want to steal and wear to every event I ever go to again (including weddings and carnivals). The bags themselves come in lovely colors, including a bold yellow, pastel blue we saw all over the place at NYFW SS15, and the only Pepto Bismal pink that you’ll ever want to actually wear. However, it’s a disappointment how the photo editors decided to tweak everything about Jennifer’s face for the ads.
Similar to the first round of Miss Dior ads we wrote about two years ago, Jennifer looks so photoshopped that if I didn’t know who it was, I would not recognize her right away.
We love Jennifer and want to support her (from afar, of course) through all the BS she’s been experiencing lately, so while we love that she’s the frontwoman of one of the biggest brands in fashion, we hope that they will actually use her marvelous face in their ads rather than just her name. Otherwise, what’s even the point of picking a famous face?
