Coachella 2018 might be over, but don’t be too sad because there are lots of other music festivals to attend. And that gives us ample opportunities to experiment with our festival beauty looks. If you’re looking for something fresh to try, hair jewels began trending during the second weekend of Coachella thanks to Mane Addicts and hairstylist Janine Kerr.

Over the weekend, the Pasadena-based artist-turned-hairstylist shared shared some beautiful jeweled hair designs on @maneaddicts’ Instagram stories. The looks have started to go viral because they are absolutely stunning and so much more unexpected than the usual floral crowns and side braids.

For the takeover, Janine used adhesive gems to transform models’ locks. For one hairstyle, she styled the model’s pastel pink hair into waves with a sleek side part and bobby pins at the ear. She then decorated the sections of hair around the face with swirling adhesive gems and pearly ones.

Demonstrating how versatile the look is, she blinged up a low, wavy ponytail with more gemstones. She decorated the back of the head with a stud design interspersed with round gems.

Last but not least, she used the “bling stickers” to create a geometric shard effect on a high wet-look bun.

All of the looks are unique in their own ways, bold and sparkling, making them perfect for festival season. Our advice: Hit up your local crafts stores and beauty stores to find an assortment of adhesive gems and get practicing your jeweled hair look so you’re ready for the next gig.
