Jo Malone has a long history of perfume starting with concocting fragrances at her home to launching Jo Malone London in 1999 to starting Jo Loves. In that long history, she has never made a scent for herself. But, all that has changed thanks to the Jo by Jo Loves Fragrance ($105).

The scent is pretty special because it marks the first time in 25 years that Malone has done something like this. That’s not to say that the personal scent it won’t appeal to the rest of us. Far from it. Many of Jo Loves’ scents are inspired by memories, and this one plays into that. Like all of the Jo Loves fragrances, you’ll find yourself swept away by the dreamy scent and gorgeous red packaging.

Jo Loves reveals that the namesake fragrance “marries the two things that Jo associates with the celebration of precious moments – the color red and one of her most treasured ingredients, grapefruit.” In addition to the zesty fruit, the fragrance contains lime, cedarwood and black pepper. It’s an intriguing combination that you will make you go back for another spray…and another.
