Kelly Osbourne apologizes for her $250,000 black diamond Emmys manicure

The biggest nail art news (cringe) out of the Emmys ceremony this past weekend wasn’t, surprisingly, Zooey Deschanel‘s cute/cutesy TV manicure. Instead, Kelly Osbourne caused quite a stir when she tweeted that she was about to undergo a $250,000 black diamond manicure in preparation for her red carpet appearance. Not only that, she described her pre-manicure feelings thusly: “About to get a $250k manicure w nail polish made w blk diamonds made by @azature so excited & honored.” Setting aside the questionable taste of announcing such a thing (or the fact that she didn’t pay a cent for it), that’s an extremely unsettling perversion of the word “honored.”

Naturally, people were offended because… because $250,000 for nails that look like the same sparkly black color you can get from Wet’n Wild displays at drugstores everywhere. Kelly has now decided to address the minor controversy over Twitter. Here are her various tweets in order:

“I see that my nail polish has offended some of you, however I see your point, but it was a once in a lifetime experience. #MyApologizes [sic]

And please forgive me for not regretting it. it made me feel like a queen!

No I did not pay for it. I was just lucky enough to be the one that got picked to wear it.

I have a big mouth & i know it! I just don’t like knowing that I have unintentionally offended anyone! If its intentional I dont give a S**t”

What it is with capitalization and Twitter? Anyway, you can rest easy now, because Osbourne sort of feels bad but also doesn’t.
