We’re pretty ambivalent about celebrities admitting how hard it is to look famous: on the one hand, it’s frustrating when every size 2 movie star pretends that they stay tiny by “hiking with my dog” or that they lost 50lbs in pregnancy weight by “chasing around the baby!” On the other hand, it makes us sad when celebrities like Jessica Alba call it like it is: “starvation,” or, per Anne Hathaway: “kale and dust,” and, as Gwen Stefani said most recently, “torture.” We feel the same way about plastic surgery confessions: plenty of famous men and women have had obvious work, but most pretend it’s just “good genes.”
…Not Kelly Ripa, though. She was stunningly candid with InTouch about her routine:
“I work out every day. I don’t overeat. I try to drink water, but I prefer wine, and when all else fails, I get Botox injected right here, right into my forehead as much as possible!”
And she knows when it’s time to re-up:
“It’s when my kids start asking me if I’m mad at them, and I say, ‘Why do you think I’m mad at you?’ They say it’s because I’m frowning. I go, ‘Oh no! I am? I’ll be right back!'”
What say you? Do you appreciate the honesty or do you wish everybody would just chill out and stop sticking needles in their faces?
