Kendall Jenner And Kylie Jenner Launch Their New Shoe And Handbag Collection Kendall & Kylie For MADDEN GIRL

From Willow Smith‘s punky street style to Elle Fanning‘s beautiful taste in gowns, it’s always a bittersweet experience for me when a teenage celebrity looks way cooler than I do. On the one hand, it’s kind of depressing to see someone I could theoretically babysit looking pretty, creative, and effortless when I’m really proud of myself every time I wear jeans instead of leggings. On the other hand, it’s really awesome when young celebs have the confidence to try an interesting look, and I’m not too proud to try to emulate a high school girl’s style. Anyway, the reason I’m worried about this right now is that, um, I really want Kylie Jenner‘s crazy-awesome hair.

The youngest member of the Kardashian Klan was recently spotted wearing a fitted leather jacket, what appears to be a men’s undershirt, a choker (I kind of forgot those existed!), and the world’s most creative hairdo. With a combination of bleached blonde streaks and bright teal chunks, Kylie proves that she can definitely hang with her famous siblings when it comes to rocking a new dye job. On top of all that (literally), she chose to tie a large section of hair into a messy knot right above her forehead, leaving the rest of it down. This sort of reminds me of the bangs poof that Lauren Conrad popularized on Laguna Beach and The Hills, but somehow cooler.

Her look isn’t conventional, but it doesn’t need to be. She’s already the head of a successful fashion line (along with her equally popular sis, Kendall Jenner), she’s part of her family’s empire that makes them exempt to traditional style rules, and she’s basically the age that Lizzie McGuire was when she was filling her teased hair with pompoms and sparklers. She looks edgy, she looks daring, and she looks like someone whose hairstyle choices are going to make a big impact on what the rest of us do with our tresses.
