LED Eyelashes

The designer Soomi Park noticed that women everywhere seem to want bigger eyes (which perhaps accounts for the increasing number women getting eyelash extensions and circular contact lenses). Soomi apparently decided that massive long lashes were not enough, and in the future, our eyelashes are going to light up. Suffice to say, I’m pretty excited about the future. Soomi explains:

LED Eyelash is a clever product that speaks to many women’s desire for bigger eyes. It features an inclination sensor with mercury to turn on and/or off. The sensor can perceive the movements of the pupil in the eyes and eyelids. If you wear it and move your head, LED Eyelash will flicker following your movements.

You can see how it works in the video, here:

I think I would probably wear LED Eyelashes, but it would really hinge on me making some different life choices that would allow me appropriate places to wear LED eyelashes.

Here are some places I think that would be appropriate

1) The future

2) Certain neighborhoods in Japan, almost certainly

3) I believe there is a Vampire Ball held in New York, and this feels like the kind of thing that would go over well, there.

4) Really, anyplace in the future, but especially Japan in the future or vampire balls in the future.
