Get ready to see doubt: supermodel Kate Moss‘s younger sister Lottie Moss is officially channeling Kate in a new photo shoot that is all sorts of similar to the famous denim ads she did for Calvin Klein in 1992. We knew that Lottie would be modeling more given her Twitter announcement of sorts on her 16th birthday, but who knew she would be going full-on Kate for such a major campaign so soon?
The ads are the result of Calvin Klein teaming up with Mytheresa.com for a collabration called “The Re-Issue Project,” wherein the brand is taking some of its most nostalgic looks and delivering them to a totally new market. According to Calvin Klein Jeans’ Global Creative Director Kevin Carrigan, 2014 just felt like the right time:
“This Calvin Klein Jeans capsule is all about a nostalgia for the 90s and that whole look feeling very right again. It now feels like the perfect time to re-issue the brand’s iconic hits to a new generation.”
It really is awesome that CK picked their most iconic model’s little sister for its “iconic hits,” as Lottie perfectly balances the 90s nostalgia factor while also being a totally new model with a fresh face. The lack of makeup and heavy hairstyling are very fitting for the casual look that Kate projected throughout the 90s.
The similarities don’t end with the photos, either. Michael Avedon, the photographer for the shoot, is actually the grandson of Richard Avedon who shot Calvin Klein’s ads in the 1980s. Rad, right?
