MAC Cosmetics kicked off the new year with a 2018 Lunar New Year collection and by revealing its upcoming Jeremy Scott collaboration. If you thought that the beauty brand was going to rest on its laurels, you are mistaken because it has now dropped the Carnival collection.
Per the MAC Cosmetics website, the Carnival collection is a tribute to the festival. The parade is known for its joyous celebration of color and the collection definitely plays into that. If your New Year’s resolution was to be more adventurous with makeup colors, this is the collection for you.
The collection includes four lipsticks, lip glosses, mascara, eyeshadow and fake lashes. The full collection is made up of the Matte Lipstick in Russian Red ($17.50), the cult favorite true red shade and the Matte Lipstick in Candy Yum-Yum ($17.50), an electric pink. Then there’s the Amplified Lipstick in Impassioned ($17.50), a coral pink and the Lipglass in Girl About Town ($17), a vivid Barbie pink. A coordinating Dazzleglass in Impassioned ($17) rounds out the lip offering.
For eyes, there’s the In Extreme Dimension Waterproof Mascara ($23), the 44 Lash Set ($17), dramatic winged lashes; three eyeshadows and two Dazleshadows. The eyeshadows include Shock Factor ($16), a matte pale yellow; Parfait Amor ($16), frosty royal purple; and Carbon ($16), matte black. The Dazzleshadows are available in Let’s Roll ($18), shimmering warm pink; and I Like 2 Watch ($18), glistening gold.
The MAC Cosmetics Carnival collection is available now to shop in select markets on and online. Grab some bold shades to get into the party spirit.
