You’re probably very familiar with facial contouring by now. You might have even mastered some of the more creative forms of contouring or dabbled with body contouring. But, have you tried brow contouring? It’s a technique that some beauty bloggers and makeup artists have showed off in the tutorials, but it looks like it’s going to become more mainstream with the launch of the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Contour Pro ($34).
The Brow Contour Pro Pencil takes inspiration from our favorite old school pens with the different inks that you would click down. Benefit’s Brow Contour Pro is sleek and chicer, plus it has brow products instead of pens. According to Sephora, the Brow Contour Pro is a four-in-one brow pencil which contours and highlights brows for a sharper, sleek shape.
The product offers 24 hours of wear and the colors are waterproof which means that you don’t have to worry about brows running down cheeks. There are five versatile colors to choose from (Blonde Light, Brown Light, Brown Medium, Brown-Black Light and Brown-Black Medium). Within each product, there are four colors. There are two brow shades to help you get the perfect color plus a lighter edge definer shade and a light highlighter shade.
After outlining, contouring and filling in brows, the brand recommends buffing the color and using a spoolie brush to create a diffused look. You want your brows to be defined, but you don’t want them to be too intense.
You can start playing around with brow contouring from August 7 when the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Contour Pro Pencil launches.
