The more we hear about Disney’s upcoming movie, Maleficent, the more excited we are. First we fell in love with Angelina Jolie’s Stephen Jones-esque couture leather horns and epic makeup, and now it turns out we’ll actually have a chance to get the makeup for ourselves, because MAC is putting out a Maleficent makeup collection.

According to WWD, MAC’s Maleficent makeup will include an 11-piece limited collection comprising face, eye, lip, and nail products. Nail polish, shmail polish, we can get epic nail polish anywhere. It’s the face stuff that has our interest piqued.

We’re sure the collection will involve some excellent red lipstick and a purple eyeshadow, which we are very into right now, but what we really want is a Maleficent-themed contour palette so we can get crazy Evil Queen Angelina Jolie cheekbones too. An eyebrow set would certainly not be amiss.

Angelina Jolie’s version of the Maleficent look was created by makeup artist Toni G and Hollywood makeup artist Rick Baker, who has seven Oscars for best makeup and hairstyling and has collaborated with MAC on other products.

We probably won’t be getting a green foundation, though, because Baker says Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent is a departure from the animated Mistress of All Evil we all love.

“They didn’t particularly want that,” he said. “I actually would have loved to have duplicated the Maleficent that we all know and love. But also when you have Angelina Jolie you don’t really wanna cover up that much or do that much.”

He told Geek Exchange that he’d suggested not really doing anything to her except adding the couture horn hat, but Angelina Jolie wanted some things done and they made it work. We’re not entirely sure what she’s wearing in the film, but some prosthetic cheekbones seem likely. (Nobody actually has cheekbones like that, right?)

The movie is expected to come out in March, at which point we expect to be able to duplicate her gorgeous makeup exactly. For the cool horns, we’re probably going to have to turn to Etsy.
