Make Up For Ever is one of our favorite beauty brands*. They make awesome mascara, pencils/liners, cream shadows, longwear lip products, you name it.

Anyway. In addition to selling makeup, the French beauty brand is passionate about training people in using it properly. Starting next month, they’re embarking on a nine city educational tour of North America, stopping by various Sephora locations to teach women more about their makeup. They’ll also be promoting a collaboration with Christina Ricci, who has designed a makeup bag for the tour, which MUEF’s calling Make Up Bag Remix.

This is all pretty typical behavior for a beauty brand–celebrity collaborations, Sephora tours, one off makeup bags–but they’re also doing something really cool: Make Up For Ever is inviting fans to bring their own makeup bags to the events. The brand’s staff of trained makeup artists will then teach people how to use the products they already own. What’s more, they’re not going to give you the side-eye if your bag isn’t 100% Make Up For Ever–feel free to bring in whatever products you’ve got that stump you and a real makeup artist will educate you in their use.

So, check to see if they’re stopping by your city (“like” to make an appointment and all that) and maybe finally find a use for that contouring cream that confounds you or that ruby red eye shadow that only looked good when that woman at the makeup counter applied it.
