New York Fashion Week has already proven to be a brilliant source of beauty inspiration with gorgeous looks being imagined backstage along with the occasional surprise makeup collection. Given that the majority of designers are showing their Spring 2019 collections, flowers have proven to be a big trend. What’s interesting is that they’re making their way to beauty in the form of hair accessories. The Mansur Gavriel show presented one of the most whimsical takes with tiny flowers decorating models’ manes.

Mansur Gavriel technically showed its Fall 2018 collection at the shows, but spring was still in the air given the dainty flower hair accessories. The look was created by hairstylist Laurent Philippon and the bumble and bumble team. Tiny daisies were added randomly around models heads which gave the pretty appearance that flowers were sprouting from their scalps. And you might love it even more than floral crowns.

Makeup artist Romy Soleimani complemented the hair accessories with soft washes of pastel eyeshadow on the eyes including canary yellow, pale lime and soft pink. Manicurist Geraldine Holford was on nail duty.

The prettiest way to recreate the blooming hairstyle would be with actual flowers, but they are fiddly and aren’t the most practical things, especially in the cooler weather. Realistic-looking fake flowers adhered to the head with barrettes or even floral clips would be equally stunning alternatives.
