You know who didn’t go on crash diets? Truman Capote. At least, not that we know of. Whether he was relaxing at a bath house or holding forth at cocktail parties, the famed author of In Cold Blood and Breakfast at Tiffany’s was a man very comfortable in his own skin.

In keeping with the theme of their new literary blog Page Views, The New York Daily News has just published an adorable mostly-nude photo of the man, taken in 1978 as he awaited a rubdown at the gym. Look at how serene and happy he was:

The next time you’re feeling bad about yourself, I want you to look at this picture of Truman Capote, lock the door, take off all your clothes, copy his pose, and try to summon some of that Capote mojo.
