Remember those sun-activated sprays that you used to liberally spritz onto your hair hoping that it would turn your locks into a gorgeous beachy blonde shade? They sort of fell by the wayside because they a) Didn’t work b) Turned hair the wrong color and c) We became interested in rainbow unicorn hair instead. Well, OUAI is launching the Sun Of A Beach Ombre Spray ($24), and it will make sun-activated hair products cool again.

OUAI has quickly garnered a massive following thanks to its innovative products that deliver gorgeous, glossy locks. The brand has previously made us fall for Dry Shampoo FoamHair Towelettes and Hair Fragrances. So leave it to them to come up with a truly chic sun-activated spray.

The Sun of A Beach Ombre Spray is described as a spray-in hair lightener made with activated lemon-infused coconut water and pineapple juice that can be used all year long. It works on existing highlights and can even add what the brand calls  “a touch-of-sunshine” to virgin hair.  The formula is also free of parabens and sodium chloride. For Insta appeal, the spray comes in a light-reflecting holographic bottle.

The spray can be applied to clean, damp hair and combined through for an all-over effect. Those who want only certain areas lightened can section off hair then spray the product in.
