When it comes to the Met Gala, we obsess about the beauty on the red carpet as much as we do the clothes. This year, there’s something extra special with the Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination theme because Pat McGrath is launching a co-branded makeup and clothing range in partnership with New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Let all of that sink in for a second. It’s big news for beauty lovers because it means more makeup. What’s more, it marks the first-ever beauty brand to be sold at The Met store. Additionally, it’s a further foray into clothing for the makeup artist. She has previously released a range of clothes as part of the Pat McGrath Labs offering, but now we have even more options.
The range includes two short-sleeved T-shirts and one long-sleeved T-shirt. All three styles and black with gold embellishment which suits the theme and Pat’s aesthetic.
On the makeup front, there’s the debut exclusive of a co-branded MOTHERSHIP IV: Decadence Eye Palette ($125). The limited-edition eyeshadow palette features 10 rich jewel-toned shades that are packed with sparkle for an intense finish.
Furthermore, the partnership sees the worldwide launch of the LUST: Gloss in Aliengelic ($28) from her forthcoming lip gloss line. Each product has packaging especially designed for the Pat McGrath x The Met collaboration.
The range will be available to buy at The Met Store from May 8, 2018 so you can get your shopping on after you see the exhibition. For those who aren’t able to make it to the exhibition, it will also be available at the museum’s online shop.
