And now we have proof that Peter Dinklage has always been this awesome, because an amazing Redditor who went to high school with Peter Dinklage at the Delbarton School in Morristown, N.J., posted a scan of Dinklage’s senior picture, and it’s amazing. Not only does he have the most actor-y sentence of all time–“Words are tools of imagery in motion. – Sam Shepard”–as his senior quote, but he was rocking a spectacular mullet.
He looks so sad and serious, though! Who could be sad with hair that voluminous? Peter Dinklage looks like an ad for hair spray, or for big, fluffy hats. Like Gwen Stefani and Will Ferrell, Peter Dinklage was just as great in high school as he is now.
Looking at Peter Dinklage’s amazing, voluminous 1987 mullet, I cannot help but be slightly disappointed that my own high school fashions will probably never be so noteworthy. Dark 90s lipstick and a blow-out are all I’ll be able to laugh at in 10 years. I can’t believe I grew out my “Rachel” by senior picture day, and thus I will never get to experience the joy Peter Dinklage must feel when he looks back on his high school yearbook and realizes he had Bowie hair.
Oh, I can’t laugh at 80s hair fashions. I spent way too much time lusting after boys with hair like this.
Peter Dinklage was amazing, even in high school. We should all follow his lead and make out-there fashion choices so that we’ll have something to laugh at in 30 years. It’s better to be ridiculous than to be boring.
