Everybody’s doing it, and sometimes, peer pressure is a good thing. Rita Ora, for example, debuted some seriously gorgeous pale pink hair on Monday at a photo call for the turning on of the Westfield London Christmas lights in London. Her overall style was lovely–albeit a little chilly-looking given that it’s November–but the most wonderful aspect was easily her new pastel hair color.

Interestingly, her brown roots actually made the look even more demure, as it kept it soft and delicate. (As somebody with very visible roots at the moment, I thoroughly appreciate her making dark roots and pale hair combo appear chic.) The makeup, too, was gorgeous, with a satin mocha shadow, radiant complexion, and sheer nude lip color.

For her outfit, Rita picked a lovely two-piece getup from Whistles of culottes and a bandeau top featuring a cool blue patchwork pattern. For an occasion like this, Rita’s combo is a cool switch-up from the typical Christmas-colored red, green, white, or black sparkly gowns that most people pick, so congrats to her for still looking red carpet ready while also keeping it unique.

Everyone from Kate Hudson to Helen Mirren has tried out pink hair lately, making it clear that this shade is both here to stay and can work on a variety of skin tones–and at any age. It looks kind of like cotton candy, or maybe even cranberry ginger ale, making it perfect for celebrating the holidays in. Plus, just look how cool it is when she’s dancing onstage:

Or dancing on a table at a New Year’s Eve party, I don’t know your life.
